Donations and partnerships

The Marco Polo Project is a not for profit organisation and relies largely on volunteer work, partnerships and collaborations for its operations.

We welcome both financial and in-kind donations, and offer a range of sponsorship opportunities.

Financial donations

Financial donations help us cover our office and management costs, web hosting and web development. All donors will be acknowledged on our ‘supporters’ page.

Please make payments to [email protected]

If you would like to know where the money goes, contact us, and we will share details with you.

In-kind donations

The Marco Polo Project is very grateful for all in-kind donations, but particularly looking for the following:

  • office space for our team in Melbourne
  • free venues and catering for our translation events
  • gifts and vouchers for our volunteers and translators
  • legal, accounting and business advice
  • graphic- and web-development services.

If you’ve got IT skills, translation skills, or a flair for spotting great Chinese writing – you may also be interested in becoming a volunteer.

Partnership opportunities

The Marco Polo Project is a leading organisation for intellectual dialogue and engagement between China and the West. Our translators and readers are highly skilled professionals with strong cross-cultural skills.

We offer a range of partnership opportunities to organisations who share our core values of curiosity, collaboration and diversity. Contact [email protected]  for a personalised discussion.
