Here’s what you can do with us:
Read a text
We propose a selection of Chinese texts in Mandarin and translation. A colour code indicates how advanced each translation is.
For the latest translations, search through the featured article section of our homepage.
Click the ‘catalogue’ button to access our full database, and choose a text by topic, author, or keyword.
You can also use our search and filter in the right hand column.
Register
You can register directly from the widget in the right hand column.
When you register for the first time, you will be asked to fill in a profile. The purpose of this profile is to identify you to other users, so that you can start exchanging with people who share similar interests.
Our developers are working on making this profile page more interactive – bear with us while we build it up!
Translate
To translate, simply click ‘improve translation’ under the title of a text. Make sure you select the language you want to translate in by pressing “ENG”, “FRA”, or “ESP”.
You can type in your translation in the left hand column, the original appears on the right. When you’re done, tick one of the boxes to choose the right level of completion, and press submit.

Comment
You can leave a comment after a text or its translation. You can use the comment thread to reflect on an element of the text, clarify a cultural point, suggest an alternative translation, or start a discussion.
